about the Project
Ringly is a smart jewelry company that we believed would be perfect to team up with a new company Paix. Paix develops gender-neutral and inconspicuous safe jewelry. (this was not a real campaign but, a passion project)
We ensured that extensive product research was done when developing these products. They designed three different accessories with a "frosted glass" exterior that any attacker could easily miss.
The products include a panic button, a vibration plate that lets them know their device has been activated, a GPS tracker and easy wireless or USB charging. The devices are also connected to an app that alerts the authorities and notifies their emergency contacts when they are in trouble. The accessories will still work if their phone is on or is not near them, as they are connected to satellites.
We designed the app to be as discreet as possible. The app does have Paix's name however it comes up as a dictionary app. We made sure the app didn't bring too much attention to itself and therefore kept the colour scheme dark but not lacking. The app can be opened by anyone but can only be accessed by the owner of the app.

One Ad

A unique and thoughtful approach was taken to advertising the safe jewelry.
Ad Type and Placement:
-
We created only one type of ad: a poster. (no socials)
-
These posters are exclusively placed in bathroom stalls to ensure privacy and discretion. There is such a sensitive nature of this product and we want to advertise it in a way that protects and respects safety.
Design and Attention:
-
The colour scheme deviated from the brand only slightly for the poster. This was a careful decision to catch the eye of someone who might need help. We aim to grab the attention of that one person in the stall who might be in danger and needs to find a solution quickly.
-
Our goal is to ensure that anyone who might benefit from our product does not remain in a dangerous situation any longer than necessary.
Additional Features:
-
A "no-pictures" warning was especially important. There are those who think sharing this idea would be cool but could harm many people.
-
-
Each poster includes a tear-away section that can be discreetly handed to the establishment's employees for immediate help.
-
We also provide a pencil with the poster, allowing individuals to write a message on the back if they need to communicate silently or leave a note.
We believe this approach maximizes the effectiveness of our advertisement while prioritizing the safety and well-being of those who need it most.
